“Seasons” was made using minimal gameplay and programming in Twine. This was to observe how a game with little player input can maintain the players' attention and enthusiasm for progression. The extent of “Seasons” gameplay is its branching narrative, where the player will be given choices that will determine the outcome of the story.

Autumn the Dragon
Autumn is an old dragon hiding from the destructive forces dominating the land. He provides wisdom and advice to Dawn and Arcky.

Winter the Dragon
Winter is the most powerful dragon Dawn will encounter. A huge threat to the balance of the world, he must be defeated.
Early Winter sketch
Developed the sketch but the wings didn't look great
Made the wings bulkier. They now look like chunks of ice. Still wasn't satisfied with it, however
The next Winter design had a churning blizzard for a body and ice for a skeleton. I wanted him to look more like a force of nature than a dragon

My first idea was for a Tim Burton-inspired text. However, I felt it didn't match the game's aesthetic
This design felt too frail and hard to read
Easier to see, but still not matching the rest of the game
Improvement on the other thin text design I made, but still not bold enough
I wanted it to look bold but it just ended up looking chunky
Tweaked the colours and lighting on the Tim Burton-inspired logo. Then I made it more balanced and neat. Feel it looks a lot more interesting with these changes
