Instruments of Destruction was one of the winning submissions to the Imperial War Museum as part of a game jam at Abertay University.
The brief asked us to make an educational experience for children from 7-14, the game also had to utilise the museum's exhibits and real information within its mechanics. The focus was to be on post-cold war aircraft which meant the game also needed a strong early 90's aesthetic.
The project was inspired by 'Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes' in the sense that it relies on two players cooperating. One would have a physical sheet of paper that summarises the strengths of each potential plane and the other would play the digital section, choosing which aircraft would be most suitable for each mission.
